The 2020-2021 Albert G. Evans Scholarship in Private Enterprise.

A cash prize totaling $3,400 will be awarded to the student (or students) who writes the best article.

The Center for Business Law is pleased to invite nominations for the 2020-2021 Albert G. Evans Scholarship in Private Enterprise. A cash prize totaling $3,400 will be awarded to the student (or students) who, in the discretion of the Selection Committee, writes the best article on a specified topic in the area of governmental regulation of private enterprise.

Eligibility. The scholarship will be awarded to a 2L or 3L who writes the best article, as judged by the Selection Committee, on a specified topic in the area of governmental regulation of private enterprise. Articles must be of publishable quality and may be written in connection with a student’s work on one of the scholarly publications at Hastings, for a seminar or in an independent study project.

Topic. The topic for the scholarship is any aspect of governmental regulation of private enterprise. In recognition of the significant contributions in these areas of Mr. Albert Evans, students are encouraged to consider articles relating to regulation of the alcoholic beverage industry or any legal issue affecting savings and loan associations.

Method of Submission. Submit articles to Grace Thieme via email at thiemegrace@uchastings.edu by Monday, July 26th at 5:00 p.m.

Each faculty member may nominate up to two Notes.
