John A. Zecca is SVP, Senior Deputy General Counsel at Nasdaq where he has held key roles in the Legal department for the past 16 years. He is the head of market and listing regulation for Nasdaq’s 11 equities and futures exchanges in the U.S. and Canada and its registered broker dealers. The team also is responsible for Corporate Securities, M&A, Intellectual Property, Corporate Governance and Employment law.

John previously served as Nasdaq’s senior corporate counsel and as European chief counsel based in Stockholm. He is a frequent speaker on market structure, corporate governance and Sarbanes-Oxley issues.
